Rosie here. We’re home. I know we were super lame about posting on the trip, but the Kindle didn’t like to let me type more than three words at a time before the keyboard went away, so you’ll all forgive me for losing patience quickly.

I plan to start back at the beginning and write details about every day, promise.

Miya here. So we spent 3 nights at the Grand Canyon, and then drove from thereee to Hurricane Valley at the foot of Zion National Park. Spent a night there and then drove to Salt Lake City to pick my daddy up from the airport and go back to Provo to visit my middle sister. <3 So great to see her! Leaving Tuesday at 3:30 in the morning from Salt Lake City to travel by train, a whopping 34 hour trip to Chicago.

Rosie here, day three.

Today we met Seth and Scot at a delicious little breakfast place. Then we checked out of the hotel, went to the ferry building to get our Amtrak tickets for the rest of the trip, and drove around the city a whole bunch. We went to Lombard St, where there is a fabulous view of Coit Tower and Alcatraz Island. Then we went to the Palace of Fine Arts, where Miya and I could not for the life of us figure out what the heck was turning the water so damn green.

Then we went and ate dim sum for the third day in the row. It was delish.

Now we’re all hanging out in the house for a bit, and Miya and Mom are headed to Santa Rosa later this evening to visit a friend of Mom’s until Monday. I’m staying here until Saturday, and going to opening night of the Gay and Lesbian Film Festival in the Castro Theatre tonight with Seth and Scot. Tomorrow I’m planning on exploring the Castro some more (so excited!) and hanging out with Seth and seeing some more queer films. Then I’ll take the bus up to Santa Rosa to hang out until Monday.

I’m very excited about the film festival opening night. The movie is called Vito, and Seth worked with him at the GAA many years ago.

Anywho, that’s it for now, going to rest before tonight :)

Miya here, end of day two for us, been absolutely fabulous so far…this city is pure magic. So many wonderful places to see and walk around in and, most importantly, EAT. Food is outragously good! Don’t want this part of the trip to end so quickly, but I am so excited for the next leg of the trip(:

Rosie here with the first post on this blog. Miya and I will most likely be switching off posting on here every day.

We leave super early tomorrow morning, flying out to San Francisco! We’ll be there and in Northern Cali for six days before beginning our journey back towards Connecticut. Since we’ll be traveling by train, hopefully we’ll be pretty good about posting on here regularly. If we’re not, please forgive us. We’re probably exhausted from our adventures and sleeping.
